A Very Serious warning to the women of Pink Truth

« on: Jul 12, 05:11 PM »

Reply with quoteQuote

Earlier today I posted a blog about how I saved 3 women from a sure and certain death of deception.  Well, on a more serious note I would like to share the results of doing so.

I had expected to get the result of my action tomorrow.  However, I guess bad news travels fast.  This evening I received a telephone call from the person who was going to recruit those women.  The conversation went something like this….”What is this bullsh**t that you are feeding people? Look, don’t mess with my business.  If you don’t want to do Mary Kay that’s your business, but don’t try to tear my business down.  Now they believe that s**t and don’t want to come in. Let me tell you something, people have gotten hurt for far.”  My first reaction was to lash back.  But being the lady that I am, I just said, have a nice day and I hung the phone up . She called me back.  But this time I didn’t answer.

I don’t know if anyone has ever experienced this type of anger behind telling the truth on a matter.  But I tell you it is not a good feeling.  I really feel that she was threatening me.  It was a “thinly veiled threat”, but, nonetheless, a threat.

My advice to the women who are getting this truth out to potential MK consultants is to be very careful  how you do.  You never know what a person is capable of doing when they feel threatened.  “A cornered rat will come out fighting”

As you are aware, right about now, MK directors and consultants are feeling the power of TRUTH(Pink Truth) and they are ready to fight back.

Any suggestions on how we can get this message out to women without being subjected to harm by those people who feel that we are taking bread off of their table?

I personally don’t scare easily and this only makes me want to go full steam ahead.

JUST BE CAREFUL.

Yep, I knew that she would be mad.  What you did, though was save 3 people from probable huge debt.  You also may have done the potential recruiter a great thing.  Now, she may wander onto pink truth to see what this “evil” is all about and she will see posts from former IBC’s and SD’s telling the truth about this sham of a business.  You may end up saving her, too!  Give her a chance to cool down, (she probably won’t much, unless she visits here).  If she says anything else, tell her, “I have one thing to say to you…go to pink truth and make your own decision once you know the facts.”

Sorry if it hurts her business, but she would be hurting 3 other people if they got involved.  And, God put you in the place to answer their questions.

The kaybots may feel that we are taking the bread off their tables, but in all actuality, they have already done that themselves, with all their “stretching” to meet their “goals.”

I think that people on this site know that when they share Pink Truth, there could be some negative backlash from potential recruiters.  I also think that anyone with the guts to help another woman to avoid the tragedy of MK can take that backlash.

We all know that no matter what we do, not everyone will agree with us.  Its that simple.

NBTT – I think you handled the situation wonderfully and hopefully the recruiter will take a look a Pink Truth once she’s calmed down.  Thumbs Up

Yes, you are messing with their income stream.

If it was truly the marvelous opportunity they claim, you wouldn’t be able to do what you did.

I think it’s important for her to know that you weren’t doing this “to” her, rather you were relating your experience and offering a resource. If you do get a serious threat from someone, I do encourage you to contact the police immediately. For angry words only, please do your best to remain calm and just let them know it’s nothing personal, it’s just business information that you feel compelled to share.

How the heck can their recruiter blame YOU for THEIR decision? To me you simply stated  your opinion based on experience. Did you tell them to tear up their contracts? Did you hold a gun to their head to make them listen to you? They made the decision to not sign up based on knowing both sides of the story, yours and the recruiters and that’s  that! If that woman were to call you back, take the call and tell her and that obviously her recruiting pitch was not worth the breath wasted  because if it there was a grain of validity to what she was saying, those women would have signed up regardless to what you told them.

Ummmm….. on second though….nix that advice….don’t take her call! It’s not worth your time to deal with someone so disillusioned by what it takes to become successful that they are willing to call and ream out over the phone because of their lack of business ethics and ability.

I think someone needs to wash her naughty mouth out with a bar of 3-1-1 cleanser.  This babe sounds like a real class act.

I think it took incredible strength to put these 3 women on the right path.  Some of these SD and NSD’s can make a root canal seem delightful.  Boo-hoo to “potty mouth” for losing these 3 women.  Obviously she didn’t see it as enriching their lives, but saw it as another opportunity to enrich her wallet.  Cheers to you!   Martini

That’s what I was thinking. If you get threatened, call the police.  If you get a reaming out, smile and nod (you practiced this while foggy) and just let it pass.  I doubt anything you say would actually get into her ears anyhow. If you had the opportunity to explain, you can try telling her it wasn’t done to her, and you would have had that conversation with anyone starting their business.(on a side note, had she had them properly fogged they wouldn’t have gotten scared off… LOL)I am sorry that you may have to deal with a truly negative person in your life now.  Hopefully she will move on.

You took the words right out of my mouth!  Those three ladies made their OWN decisions based on information they had from two different sources (one pro, the other con).  Isn’t that how decisions are made?  You weigh the good and the bad?  Obviously (for anyone NOT in the pink fog) the bad SERIOUSLY outweighs the good in regard to MLM!!  Sheesh!

Funny thing is..the “3” would have eventually stumbled on to PT anyway…so how can a person be blamed?  And it has been said that if MK was the opportunity they say it is–this site wouldn’t exist! Think about it..all of us would have just moved on if it just didnt “work” for us….Instead, we have Directors—“2%ers”  as well as hundreds of consultants coming out in DROVES verifying that what we say is true. We are MOTIVATED to stay here and share because it is SO DAMAGING to pursue MK.

Nothing quite like using the power of word-of-mouth advertising against a company that relies 100% on the network marketing model of word-of-mouth advertising by its recruiters/consumer-consultants.

And isn’t it true that one negative remark by a friend warning about a bad experience with a company outweighs something like 10 positive endorsements?

That was a threat, delivered by telephone. If anyone calls with this sort of bluster, tell them this, then hang up:

“Making threats of bodily harm, and that is how a reasonable person would interpret your words, is a crime. Delivering those threats about bodily harm over the phone is a federal crime. I will report this incident to my local law enforcement and let them deal with it. Do not contact me again by phone, in person, by email or by regular mail.”

And then file a police report of the incident, telling the cops you aren’t sure how stable the woman is.

And make a log of the incident: date, time, who and what the threat-maker said. And keep a copy of the police report.

Speaking of “word of mouth,” did any of you see the “Yours is a Very Bad Hotel” PowerPoint presentation that was circulating a few years ago?  Oh my stars – it is HILARIOUS  Too Funny!!  You can check it out here:  http://i.askask.com/2002/08/DoubleTreeShow.ppt  Maybe Pink Truth needs a ppt presentation that is uniquely ours!   Grin

You know, I am not an advocate of violence, however, if anyone were to issue me a threat like that, I would tell them to bring it. No matter how thinly veiled the threat, it is just that, a threat.
I understand her mentality of losing money, but that is not your problem.
The “I am bigger than life” mentality of mk women gets on my nerves. It always has. The way they speak and use their condescending tone while doing so, is extremely annoying. Many a day I have walked away from women who felt entitled to speak to me in this manner. Right in the middle of their chastising, I simply turned around and walked away, None were brave enough to follow. They are all talk. Catty.
Simply because I didn’t follow their directions to a T doesn’t mean you can speak to me any way you see fit. I didn’t stop being independent when I became an Independent beauty consultant.
The police can enforce a restraining order. So if you have fear, take one out. Having the police intervene is probably a safer bet anyway, it will prevent violence.
But, do not let these women intimidate you.

Definitely document this harassment!  Todays telephone technology makes it easy.  If she’s calling a lot, and you have caller ID, don’t clear it!  Don’t pick up when she calls, because if she’s leaving threatening voice mails, you should save all of them.  Then you have evidence should you have to take her to court.

This illustrates a very important point about the proposed FTC rules that included, among other things, that MKC provide a list of other IBC’s in the prospective recruits area, presumably for the purpose of ascertaining market availability (or flooded) AND so that a prospective recruit could contact those people for any information regarding the opportunity.

Help me, here, this was on a thread that made my decision, and I quoted info on that thread in my letter to my consultants, but I don’t know where it is.

Anyway, MKC and recruiters DO NOT want anyone else talking to prospects because they KNOW that 98% of the IBC/SD have NOT found the success they were led to believe was possible. OF COURSE, who WOULD want  a prospect talking to anyone, even husband, who might see thru the lies! That’s why we recuited one on one, or withing the confines of a meeting, where everything could be controlled and orchestrated for the big sign up!

By the way, if she was doing her job the right way, she would have gotten an immediate decision from those ladies as she presented the info. So she was not high pressured enough to do that. Maybe there is hope for her?
I’m a fan of tough love. How many rejections will she need before she throws in the towel herself? Bring it on, PT!

  1. Dana said

A threat because she said “people have gotten hurt so far?” She seemed to be implying “hurt” as in “hurt business” or “hurt feelings.” My, these chicks are drama queens. I didn’t know it was possible for junior high girls to join MK….. maybe that’s why I wasn’t a good recruiter. I thought they had to be 18 or older.

  2. mkrealist said

I think she meant to say, “…people have gotten hurt for far less…”

If so, that was a threat. She can handle it in whatever way she deems appropriate.

When you find your voice and start speaking your “truth,” you can never predict or manipulate how people will react to it. 9 times out of 10, it’s a poor reaction.

She’s right, they SHOULD be careful. How would THEY react if someone was trying to take away a source of income for THEM, all in the name of a cause they don’t support?

  3. Me said

Tracy has reacted in a variety of ways since sites such as this cropped up (none of them too nice), and since I started pointing out the truth about HER which apparently reflects in a loss of income. And those that are still in Mary Kay collecting commissions but post on PT are showing their true colors regarding loss of income.

One comment above early on talks about how God placed her in the path of those women. Does this make anyone else as mad as it does me? Is this not what they accuse US of doing–manipulating religion and using God?

I find it hard to find one good thing about any one of them over there.

And today Suzy Q is playing Jesus: “Peace be with you”. Oh brother (rolling eyes)

  4. MKRealist said

Well the road to Hell is paved with good intentions.

I think they started their PT adventure with the same good intentions/motivations they started their MK journey. Unfortunately, they have also brought the same failings/flaws/idiosyncracies, etc that made it hard/challenging/impossible for them to find success at MK. Yes, the MLM system itself has a bit to do with that, not everything, but what they are failing to see is the similarity (eerie at times) between the recruiters/directors they trusted and the leader they now put their trust in. She is using the same tactics to manipulate them emotionally and keep them stuck in anger and juvenile attempts at retribution in order for self-profit. True healing on PT doesn’t profit PT’s Leader, so it is not part of her agenda.

But the ultimate point is that all people should be careful about how they push their individual agendas and beliefs on others, especially those whom you realize in advance may not be receptive to them. This leader they love and trust and adore so much will sit back “fat-happy-and-dumb” if ANY of them ever ended up in a legal/criminal/civil pickle over their efforts to “spread the PT Truth.” There won’t be enough “residual-click-income” in the world to start/maintain a PT Defense Fund. LOL!!!

  5. Rebecca said

Me, yes, I agree with you on their use of God. I saw that and I roll my eyes.

I agree with MKRealist, too. That people factor. And about Tracy.

When I read what was said about the MK Recruiter who was upset, I didn’t immediately perceive “people have gotten hurt for far less” as a threat. I took it as a statement that what this PTer said to the 3 potential recruits was what was the most hurtful. But I can see how it can be taken either way. Still, what major drama queens!

Also, since that PTer personally knew the MKer, I’m wondering if she also personally kow the 3 potential recruits. And did the PTer have to do her own “stalking”, or “warm chatting”, and track down those 3 in order to “save” them.

There’s more to this story than has been told. What lengths did this PTer go to in order to talk to those 3 women? Three potential recruits of ONE specific MKer. Hmmmmmm….. Doesn’t it sound like the PTer may be engaged in STALKING this particular MKer? Deliberately targeting her business….

  6. SillySally said

Couldn’t read all of this………..too much “truth” makes me want to puke!!

But I did have to laugh at Queen Tracy’s comment: “just let them know it’s nothing personal, it’s just business information that you feel compelled to share.” I hope she understands that herself………..we are COMPELLED TO SHARE what a nut-job she is!!

  7. Rebecca said

“compelled to share’. HA. More like cram down everyone’s throats! Looks to me like they don’t just “share”/cram with anyone within 3 feet, they go track ’em down!

  8. My Bologna Has A First Name said

My favorite is when PUR said the 3 women would have eventually come across PT anyways. I’m sorry… what? Is it inevitable? Everyone comes into contact with Pink Truth? How is that possible?

  9. Dizzy from the Dastardly ways of Tracy said

Only the people who are doing google searches for Mary Kay will find pink truth. Everyone outside of the MK world is WTF is pink truth and who gives a flying F.

    Oh, good grief.

Today at work, I looked out my window and saw a puddle under my car. One of the guys went out and checked it out for me. He said it was transmission fluid and it looked like my main seal (??). He told me I’d better get that checked right away and to be careful driving.

Was that a threat? Should I call the police?

  11. It is really sad that nothingbutt… sees “people have been hurt for far [less]” as a physical threat. The statement does not imply any physical harm specifically. “Hurt” could imply, money (less commission/bonuses), friendship (I bet they are not friends anymore), or any number of things. I don’t blame her for going off on nothingbutt…. Not that I encourage violence, but if this nothingbut… person had done this to me and was supposedly my friend, I probably would have said a lot worse. Friends don’t do those things to friends. Even if they have differing opinions about something.
